The Movie Talk #4- Justice League, Michael Bay, and More!

Sorry, I did Movie News instead of the Fall Movie Preview/Highlights because when it was finished, I was only looking foward to about four of the eleven movies so I'm just going to go through them really quickly. I am looking foward to Lincoln, Skyfall, Looper, and the Hobbit Part 1. I would also like to say that I'm pretty sure that Thanos has been confirmed as The Guardians of the Galaxy villian. The trailers released this week have been linked down below as well as a funny video of what The Expendables would be like if Pixar made it. This was made by IGN and contains footage from  Toy Story and I highly recommend it.

I want to start off the week with an interesting thing about the upcoming (I guess) Justice League. Back on my older blog, I wrote something about the Batman reboot and the Justice League movie and now some news has come out to update the movie. Man of Steel will introduce us to the DC Universe and then for the next three years, DC won't have a movie. In 2016, there will probably be a Justice League Movie introducing The Flash, Batman, and Wonder Woman. If the Justice League is a success financially, we will get a Man of Steel sequel, Batman reboot, a Flash Movie, and a Wonder Woman movie. Not sure about Green Lantern but I think they should reboot that. I don't know about a solo Wonder Woman and The Flash movies because as cool as it could be, they don't have interesting villians. I'll give the Batman reboot a try though.

The script was also leaked for Michael Bay's TMNT imagining. I couldn't find the whole script online but I found a review that contains some of the script and it is just awful. I was going to write a whole rant about how this is just so pathetic that its creator called it a piece of junk as stated in the article.

The Avengers is coming back in theaters at least in the USA from today to September 5th. I heard about a possible bonus scene leading up to Iron Man 3 or we'll get a trailer for that film. I hope that happens but maybe they'll just add some other scene that would have nothing to do with Iron Man, which would disappoint a lot of fans. Also, the producer of a bunch of Marvel stuff is going to produce the video game movie adaptation of Metal Gear Solid. I have never played these games so I don't really care about that news so let's move on to our last bit of news.

Micheal Keaton will be playing the villian in the upcoming Robocop remake coming out August 2013. I hope this is better than Total Recall which I would change my rating from 8/10 to 6/10. Total Recall was predictable the first half and the rest of it was a generic action movie. Hopefully this is not for Robocop it but I do fear that.

There wasn't that much news this week but make sure to check out Michael Bay's Ninja Turtles script and a Toy Story/Expendables spoof down below. Trailers released this week include The Master, Sleepwalk With Me, The Iceman, red band trailers for Seven Phsycopaths, The To Do List, and The Man with the Iron Fist as well as clips for The Possession, The Cold Light of Day, and Resident Evil 6. If you have any questions about this week's episode, email me here at bxvone2@gmail.com. Also today's question is, "With a possible Metal Gear Solid movie, who do you want to play the main character?". If you aren't into video games then,"With news about Robocop and Ninja Turtles, which one are you most excited for?" You can even answer both! Just email me at bxvone2@gmail.com and that was Movie News.

The Movie Talk #3- Batman Sequel, Pixar, Captain America 2 Casting, and More!

Welcome to this week's movie news where I recap some of the latest news so let's get started.

This week, I found a very interesting article about rumors for a sequel for The Dark Knight Rises instead of a reboot. I couldn't link the article I read but there is a video down below explaing what Joseph Gordon-Levitt said about a possible sequel or spinoff and if you haven't seen The Dark Knight Rises, go look up showtimes and read the next story. I read an article saying there could be a Batman 4 and it could be like Batman Beyond or Batman and Nightwing. The article stated they could do this instead of a reboot.
 1. They're going to reboot it even if this idea happened.
 2. Nolan said he's done and the last one had a perfect ending.
I'd rather see a reboot because this sequel could possibly ruin the franchise. If this is Batman and Nightwing, I don't think Nolan should push his luck that far with two main characters or it will get clustered with characters we don't care about. I'd rather see a reboot so we'll get a Justice League movie. I really hope this is just a rumor but let's go to a different topic.

I read an article on Fandango of what Billy Crystal said about the plot for Monsters University is. He said there is a scare contest where Mike is leading a team and Sulley is leading a team and they have to get more screams than the other team. If you haven't seen Monsters Inc. then you didn't understand a word I just said. I adore Monsters Inc. because it's my favorite Pixar Movie after the first and last Toy Story movies. I am really pumped for this movie and I think this is a great idea. Now let's go to The Expendables 3!

I wanted to share some thoughts on what the dream cast for The Expendables 3 is. The dream cast for The Expendables 3 is Clint Eadtwood, Nicolas Cage, Wesley Snipes, if he gets out of prison, and Harrison Ford. I also heard they are begging Sean Connery to be in it but I doubt he'll be in it. Eastwood will most likely not be in it. Cage is set to be in it and I don't know about Snipes. I really want Ford to be in it for at least the amount of time Chuck Norris or Bruce Willis was in The Expendables 2. Just imagine Harrison Ford shooting everyone with a fedora on. That would blow my mind as much as Schwarzenegger and Willis trading their most famous lines did in the second one.

Marvel Studios has said that they need an actress to be the leading lady in Captain America 2: The Winter Soldier. The actresses are Anna Kendrick (Twilight), Felicity Jones (Like Crazy, and Imogen Poots (Fright Night). This role is suspected to be Sharon Carter, the niece of Peggy Carter who was the love interest in Captain America: The First Avenger and was in a deleted scene in The Avengers. I think Anna Kendrick is the better actress but Felicity Jones looks more like she could be related to Hayley Atwell.

Finally, I'm not going to go very deep into this news but before I wrap this up, Kat Dennings is going to be in Thor 2: The Dark World and will have a larger role. It is unknown at this point what part of the plot she will have to do with when Thor is taking on Malekith, ruler of the dark elves. Marvel is going to have to expain what Natalie Portman's sidekick has to do with dark elves. I personally dislike hearing this because she was very annoying and said a bunch of stupid things. I also wished this didn't take place on Earth that much  because that was one of the weakest parts of Thor.
Below is some other news I didn't mention including a deleted scene that references Ant-Man and a hilarious blooper from the Avengers. Also, a video explianing what Joseph Gordon-Levitt said about a Batman sequel. There are also a ton of trailers released that I have linked down below so check them out if you want to. I'll talk to you next week with my fall movie highlights.

The Movie Talk #2- ParaNorman Movie Review

I wanted to get this review out in between last week's and this week's movie news show so here's my review of ParaNorman. ParaNorman is about a boy, Norman, who can talk to the dead and who must stop the Witch's Curse. I was really looking foward to ParaNorman because I adore stop-motion and the trailers made it look great.
I think it is safe to say that I really enjoyed ParaNorman and it is my favorite animated movie of 2012 so far. First off, this is the most adult humor in an animated movie I've ever seen and almost reaching the PG-13 rating. You should also not show a four year -old this because they will have nightmares for the next two and half months sleeping in their parents' room. I'm serious. This movie had a lot of funny horror movie references and jokes young kids won't understand.
It is impossible to describe my respect for the animators in this moive because of how amazing the stop-motion animation was. Do I even have to say the voice actors do an outstanding job? This movie was great in every way except for the pacing. During the final act of the movie, there is a five or ten minute long period where nothing really happens and sucked me out of the movie just a little. I'll give ParaNorman a 9.5/10. I'd also like to change my grade for The Expendables 2 from 8.5/10 to a 9/10. So, I'd like to know, what scared you the most when you were a kid? For me, it has to be Gremlins. I hope you see ParaNorman and stay tuned for this coming weekend's Movie News show.

The Movie Talk #1- The Expendables 2 Movie Review!

Welcome to this week's major movie news recap and the first post on this blog I am posting this on Friday but the show will often be on a Saturday so let's go.

One of the movies leading up to The Avengers 2, which also is now coming out May 1st, 2015,  Guardians of the Galaxy,  has had it's official plot revealed. "A U.S. pilot who ends up in space in the middle of a universal conflict and goes on the run with futuristic ex-cons who have something everyone wants."
I know nothing about Guardians of the Galaxy so I can't write about that but I am looking foward to this movie. This movie will introduce Thanos who will be the villian in the Avengers sequel. If Thanos will be in this movie and Avengers 2, won't that mean the Guardians of the Galaxy won't defeat him?  Maybe it will be like Thor (Spoilers for those who haven't seen Thor) where they kind of defeat him. I don't know but that was the plot for Guardians of the Galaxy.

Today I saw Expendables 2 and here I am to review it. This movie was a great time at the movies. The Expendables 2 was the best action movie of the summer that didn't have to with superheroes. Jason Statham and Sylvester Stallone have great chemistry and it  is some of the best I've seen in a while. In this movie, we've  got more Arnold which made me very happy. Arnold Schwarzenegger and Bruce Willis have a hilarious bit that was just awesome and made me laugh into the next scene. This movie actullay had several hilarious moments. Chuck Norris even has a joke about what Chuck Norrris has become over the years.
Jean -Claude Van Damme was a very good villian and was one of the two actors who were good in the movie; the other being Liam Hemsworth,  who was very good. The awful acting for the most didn't effect the rating of the movie because I wasn't expecting The King's Speech or The Artist. I knew Dolph Lundgren was going to be awful, and I expected this to be a fun summer action flick. The Expendables 2 will get an 8.5/10 based on how much fun I had.
